What are Promotional Products?
The Promotion Evolution – The Proof is in the Results & the Research
By definition promotional products or specialty advertising are useful items imprinted with an advertiser’s name, logo, message or offer. Look around… There’s a 90% chance that you have in your possession a pen, calendar, coffee mug,T-shirt or some other promotional item that someone gave you to keep their name in the forefront of your mind. Promotional products have often been overlooked when businesses develop their marketing campaigns. While some think of them only as gadgets, gizmos, novelties, trinkets or giveaways; savvy marketers realize the impact promotions have in reaching a specific target audience. This industry, which includes over 200,000 different products, is one of the most important and respected parts of the integrated marketing communications mix. Because promotional products are tangible and useful to the recipient, they are kept long after other elements of a campaign may have been forgotten.
A recent study showed that promotional products can enhance a company’s good will standing with its customers as much as 52%. These results include customer loyalty, repeat purchases and a willingness to recommend the company to others. Direct mail pieces can be dramatically enhanced with 3 dimensional packaging, sound, and jigsaw puzzle pieces all which allow the recipient to interact with the direct mail piece. Trade show booth effectiveness and excitement is increased with promotional products.
What is Digitizing?
Did I suggest digitizing your custom logo? And, you ask…..What is digitizing? Digitizing is an art form and I will pay an expert to get the best. Embroidery Digitizing, like other forms of ‘digitizing’ (used in Architecture & Aerospace) is the means of taking a ‘drawing’ & interpreting this drawing for the purpose of embroidery. Additional instructions are programmed into the design that gives computerized embroidery machine instructions for embroidery. Embroidery Digitizing is somewhat complicated as the embroidery artist also needs a thorough understanding of fabrics and how they will interact with the embroidery application (thread). An open weave shirt, for example needs to be digitized differently than one would for a finished hat.
I will send your art/design file to the digitizer for a price quote. So, I need to know the approx.. size(s) of the finished design(s), colors and their separations. We also need to know the type(s) of fabric(s) that you, as the customer, will want me to do the embroidery on. My digitizer requests the best art possible to work. He requests either an EPS or an AI file. If those files are not available there are other forms of art we can work with. If you need your art/design created for you, I also work with a graphic designer that can work with us (for an added charge). For the digitizing price quote please allow 3-5 days. After you approve the digitizing price quote allow 5-7 days for the art to be digitized. With the digitizing price quote he will also inform me of the approx.. number of stitches, so I will know the approx.. embroidery cost per location.
Once the design(s) is digitized it can used any time for the cost of the embroidery. The digitizing charge is a onetime charge to set-up your design(s) to do the embroidery. I will keep your design on file for all of your future orders. Approx. cost is $50.00 and up (for larger or complicated designs). ALL ORDERS- 50% DEPOSIT AT TIME OF ORDER
What is Embroidery?
Embroidery is the process where you are “inserting” threads into a garment/item. As an example– a polo shirts with your company logo as a left or right chest design (average size -3.5”w x 3.5”h) or a denim shirt or a jacket with a full back design (average size 12.5”w x 12.5”H). Embroidery works well on just about any garment. There is no limit to colors nor are there any extra charges for the numbers of colors in the design. The cost of embroidery depends on the # of stitches & the type of fabric it is sewn on. The threads I use for embroidery are color-fast when washed with non-chlorine bleach. Embroidery is a beautiful addition to any garment or item. This is just the tip of the iceberg for info…if want more information, just ask me!
For Garments & Other Options
Prices quoted on garments from this website- www.companycasuals.com/HDCE: All garment, etc., pricing is blank, undecorated pricing only. Any decoration as an embroidery application or silk-screening, a fee will be added to the price of the garment, etc. If interested in multiple locations on the same garment there will be a fee for each logo location.
What is Silk-Screening?
Silk-Screening is a process where ink(s) are applied to a fabric. Cost depends on the # of colors and the # of garments. You can do just about any size design on just about any type of garment. Pricing does not depend on the size of the design…as example a left or right chest design (average size of 3.5”w x 3.5”h) or a full chest design (average size of 13.5”w x 12.5”h) are the same price. Now, add 1 or more colors to that same sized design that’s where the prices change. Each color gets its own (color) screen that allows that color to transfer to the garment. So, you pay more for each color as well as for the screens used to transfer that color. Silk-screening, small or large designs are great for garments of any weight. Silk-Screening can be very cost effective if applied to a t-shirt in one or two colors as a full front or full back design. I can offer you the option of supplying various garments as well as sizes and colors to meet the minimum quantity needed to completing a silk-screening order. The minimum quantity for a one color/one location design is just 12 pieces.
This is just the tip of the iceberg for info… if you want more information, just ask me!
Direct to Garment
What is Direct-To-Garment Printing?
Direct-To-Garment (DTG) Printing is a Full Color Digital Print Process done on 100% Cotton Garments or 80/20 Cotton/Polyester Garments. There are no set-up fees or screen charges. Design can be printed on white, light or dark fabrics. We can do a full color process, as example — a photo (up to 630 dpi) of family or friends. There is no limit to colors nor are there any extra charges for the numbers of colors in the design. Youth and adult sized prints are available. And the best news is it is a 12 piece minimum per multicolored design.
